In his message on the 143rd birth anniversary of Pakistan's founding father, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said the Quaid-i-Azam not only explored new avenues in his profession as a lawyer but also introduced the people to new ways of thinking and understanding of it.
Alhamdulillah, a beautiful mehfil was held in remembrance of the noble Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani (R.A). The mehfil was hosted by Saima Andaleep, the General Secretary of MWL Nelson. Many heartfelt naats and verses of the Holy Quran were recited beautifully throughout the mehfil. Sister Quratulain Mudasser (Nelson) shared her knowledge with us by highlighting the life of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani (R.A) through a speech given in Urdu.

We are family forever.” held an elegant graduation ceremony and donor conference. The event was organized by Lt. Col (r) Mubashir Iqbal, Director Aghosh Complex and his staff on December 21 at Minhaj University auditorium.
An All-Pakistan Inter-University declamation contest was arranged as a result of a collaboration between the Arabic Department of the National University of Modern Languages and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates. The declamation marked the International Day of Arabic language. Students belonging to 22 universities took part in the contest.
Shafique-uz-Zaman, a great calligrapher of international repute, visited the central secretariat of MQI and held a meeting with MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Shafique-uz-Zaman presented the model of his calligraphy of Surah Muhammad (PBUH) to MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for the central Minhaj-ul-Quran Mosque in Model Town.
Minhaj University Lahore’s Seekers Club headed by Ms. Ammara Qadri organized an annual Sirat Conference ﷺ. Vice-Chancellor MUL Dr Sajid Mahmood Shahzad was the keynote speaker at the event. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, while speaking on the occasion said,’’ Islam has given laws based on the Book of Allah, which were preached and practiced by the last Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
The School of Religion & Philosophy and Interfaith Relations of Minhaj University Lahore hosted a graceful event “Christmas Day Celebrations” on December 13, which was organized by Dr. Herman Roborgh (Head of Department) and Mr. Sohial Ahmad Raza (Director of Interfaith Relations).
The English Department of Minhaj College for Women organized a workshop for its students. Prof. Nadeem Chuhan conducted one of the best workshops on academic writing. He equipped the students with the skills to write good academic essays and quoted real life examples to illustrate his points. He also highlighted the general mistakes that the students make during the process of writing. He encouraged the students to shed the fear of writing, stating that they would learn it by actually doing its practice.
The 22nd annual 'Urs' ceremony of Pir Sayyid Irshad Hussain Shah was held at his shrine in Walton Lahore on December 10, 2019. Punjab Minister for Religious Affairs Sahibzada Sayyid Saeed-ul-Hassan extended a special invitation to President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for the Urs ceremony of his father.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said the future of the nation is connected with the youth whose future, in turn, is associated with higher education. He said there is a need to upgrade the learning and research according to the international standards. He said as long as Muslims were on the top of research, they were the leader of the world and the day we gave secondary importance to education and learning, we were reduced to the second position in the comity of nations.

The bookstall set up by Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications was the centre of attention at the five-day-long International Book Festival in Expo Centre Karachi. All the previous records of sales were smashed. The demand of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri's books namely the historic Quranic Encyclopedia, Peace Curriculum, Quranic Philosophy of Revolution and Al-Minhaj al-Sawi min al-Hadith al-Nabawi has increased manifold.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Lahore organized Seerah Conference at Empire Marquee Lahore on 7th December 2019, which was attended by great number of women in which Chairman Supreme Council Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri was invited as a chief guest. Provincial Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid also joined the conference and while sharing her views she appraised the efforts of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women and spoke highly of their efforts.

German journalist Mrs. Margot and Paul Schmidt visited Minhaj-ul-Quran secretariat Lahore and met with President MQI Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Dr. Hussain presented the voluminous Fatwa against Terrorism and Suicide Bombing authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and briefed the guests about the working of various departments of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
