In a meeting with the distinguished Pakistanis who are rendering services in different areas in Glasgow, MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that when the Muslim world will imbibe the lesson of unity given by the Holy Quran, its downfall will be replaced by the rise. He said that differences and the lack of unity are undermining Muslims. He said that if the whole Umma becomes like one body as per the sayings of the Holy Prophet (SAW), exploitation and injustice of every kind will come to an end.
A ceremony marking the 'Rasm-e-Chehlum' of MQI Director Finance Adnan Javed was held. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a talk on the audio link. He paid rich tributes to late Adnan Javed for his honesty, dedication, and excellent manners. He said that despite being posted on a sensitive position in the MQI, Adan was sociable and would extend respect and courtesy to all.
The flag hoisting ceremony was held at the central secretariat which was attended by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawad Hamid, Engr. Rafique Najam, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, and the senior officeholders. A conference was held at the central secretariat of MQI on the topic of 'Role of the Sufis in the establishment of a moderate society' to mark the death anniversary of Hazrat Pir Sayyiduna Tahir Allauddin Al-Qadri Al-Gillani (R.A), the spiritual patron of MQI. Sayyid Ahmad Noor-ud-Din Gillani al-Qadri presided over the conference.
The 8-volume Quranic Encyclopedia authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Urdu originally has been translated in English. The launching ceremony of the English version of the Encyclopedia will take place in Manchester on August 4 under the banner of the MQI (UK). Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will be the guest of honour and will deliver a keynote speech.

Muhammad Adnan Javed (Director Finance MQI), who is the nephew of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has passed away. He suffered a heart attack a few days ago and remained in the hospital for treatment but breathed his last. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will lead his funeral prayer of Adnan Javed on Monday morning tomorrow at 7 am.

Addressing the ceremony held to mark the fifth anniversary of Model Town tragedy, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we continue to stand where we were five years ago in our struggle for justice. He said that we took our case to the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the formation of the JIT for a fair investigation into the tragedy. We provided important evidence including phone call data of the accused to the JIT on the basis of which it recorded the statement of all including Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.
