Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, congratulated the millions of pilgrims who have been blessed with the opportunity to perform the Hajj. He remarked that Hajj is a magnificent and shining example of obedience to God, unity, and solidarity among the Ummah, as well as tolerance and humility. Hajj is a manifestation of divine love and a means to seek Allah's pleasure, he maintained.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri emphasized that the pilgrims forsake their proud and ornate garments for two simple cloths, symbolizing the abandonment of worldly desires. This abandonment of worldly desires should not be limited to the days of Hajj alone; rather, every Muslim should make humility, modesty, obedience, and loyalty an integral part of their character for the sake of self-purification and heart cleansing.
He prayed that Allah Almighty, through the worship of the pilgrims, bless the Islamic nation with unity and solidarity and relieve the Ummah from all kinds of troubles.
