Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulates Muslims around the world on Eid-ul-Adha

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding-leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, in his Eid-ul-Adha message to the Muslims of Pakistan and the Islamic Ummah, expressed his congratulations and said that may Allah accept our sacrifices in following the Sunnah of Ibrahim (AS) and the prayers and supplications made during these blessed days.

Shaykh-ul-Islam emphasized that to truly reap the benefits of sacrifice, believers should not only sacrifice animals but also their egos, vanity, and selfishness, and resolve that all their actions will be for the pleasure of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH).

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri further stated that the duty of sacrifice is characterized by altruism and good ethics. In the sight of Allah, external status is insignificant, whereas character, intentions, and piety are paramount. He said that on this blessed day, the wealthy should consider the happiness and needs of neighbors and the deserving.

Shaykh-ul-Islam instructed the administration of collective sacrifice centers established nationwide under Minhaj Welfare Foundation to ensure the meat is distributed promptly to the deserving and special attention should be given to cleanliness. He stated that the Eids are dignified days of Islamic culture that weave the Islamic Ummah into unity and solidarity.

“Spend as much time as possible serving humanity for the pleasure of Allah.”
