A dignified ceremony marking the 35th annual Urs of Qudwat-ul-Awliya, Hazrat Pir Sayyid Tahir Alauddin al-Gilani al-Qadri (RA), the spiritual patron of MQI, was held at the "Gosha-e-Durood" in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The event was organized by MQI in collaboration with Bazm-e-Qadriya and was attended by a large number of scholars, spiritual leaders, and devotees.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressed the gathering and stated that the message of love, tolerance, and human compassion spread by the Sufi saints across the Indian subcontinent remains the most powerful source of peace and unity even today. He emphasized that the true essence of Sufism lies in self-purification, moral excellence, and seeking the pleasure of the Creator.
Dr. Hussain Qadri described Qudwat-ul-Awliya, Hazrat Sayyid Tahir Alauddin al-Qadri al-Gilani (RA), as a symbol of piety and purity. His hospitality was unmatched, and humility was a defining trait of his character. He was a radiant sun in the spiritual realm whose illuminating influence sparked the beginning of Minhaj-ul-Quran, a movement that continues to grow in popularity and reach with each passing moment.
Dr. Hassan Qadri urged the youth to study the teachings of the Sufis to attain spiritual peace and social harmony.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Inamullah Naeemi. Chief Organizer of Bazm-e-Qadriya, Shehzad Rasool Qadri, welcomed the guests in his opening remarks. Internationally acclaimed naat reciters Shehzad Hanif Madani, Muhammad Abdullah Altaf, Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, Khurram Shehzad Qadri, and Allama Sabir Hussain Sabri presented tributes in honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
