Thousands of people have been affected by the recent rains and floods across various parts of the country. During this difficult time, Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) — under the special directives of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri — has launched large-scale relief operations in the affected areas.
Director of Operations for Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Engineer Sanaullah Khan, stated that thousands of families in the districts of Buner, Swat, Shangla, Lower Dir, Bajaur, Gilgit, Skardu, Kashmir, and Mansehra have so far received ration bags, clean drinking water, tents, cooked meals, and essential household items.
Medical camps have also been established in the affected regions to provide medicines
and first aid, where expert doctors and paramedical staff are offering healthcare
services to victims.
Engineer Sanaullah Khan mentioned that MWF volunteers are reaching flood-hit areas
using boats and tractor trolleys and are transferring affected individuals to safer
locations. Temporary shelters have been set up in several affected regions to house
displaced families.
He further added that senior officials of Minhaj Welfare Foundation are actively overseeing the relief operations to accelerate the rehabilitation process. He assured that the rehabilitation will be completed in phases and no affected family will be left alone during this crisis.
He also said that MWF volunteers are working day and night in Buner, Swat, Shangla, Lower Dir, Bajaur, and Mansehra, in collaboration with local communities. Minhaj Welfare Foundation appeals to the entire nation to generously support these relief efforts so that basic necessities can be restored for the affected families.
