A delegation of leaders from Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran and Awami Tajir Ittehad met with Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider. The delegation invited the Governor to attend Minhaj-ul-Quran’s 42nd International Mawlid Conference, which he graciously accepted.
Governor Punjab stated that Minhaj-ul-Quran and Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri are kindling the flame of love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the hearts of the younger generation. He said they are imparting the message of knowledge and peace, and he expressed his admiration for Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s religious services.
During the meeting with the delegation of Awami Tajir Ittehad, the Governor remarked that the business community is the backbone of the economy and plays a vital role in generating employment. He assured them that he would do whatever he can, in his capacity as Governor, to help resolve their issues.
The delegation included Chairman of Awami Tajir Ittehad Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Director of Public Relations Minhaj-ul-Quran International Shehzad Rasool, Junaid Waris, Rana Shakeel, Muhammad Saqib Bhatti, Shehzad Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Naeem, Chaudhry Habib ur Rehman, Shabbir Ahmed, and Abdul Hafeez Chaudhry.
The delegation presented the Governor with a gift set of books authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and thanked him for accepting the invitation to the International Mawlid Conference.
