The first session of the "Seerat-e-Habib-e-Azam (PBUH) Course (Diploma in Seerah Studies)" was successfully conducted under the auspices of the Educational and Professional Development (EPD) department of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a naat (praise) of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Senior leader of EPD, Allama Mahmood Masood Qadri, delivered the welcome address and provided details about the course.
In his speech, the Director of EPD, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi, stated that the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) serves as the best guidance and practical model for Muslims, which will continue to be a beacon of light throughout all eras. He emphasized that studying Seerah means understanding all aspects of the Prophet's blessed life and deriving lessons from it. The Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) is not just a historical reference; it is the way of life and a guiding light for a believer.
He said that if we want to rid our hearts of darkness, we must illuminate our lives with the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This Seerah is the true guidance for both our individual and collective lives. He pointed out that the world today needs the message of love, patience, justice, and tolerance that the Prophet (PBUH) conveyed. The Prophet (PBUH) set such an example of social justice and brotherhood that all of humanity continues to benefit from it.
He concluded by stressing that it is our duty to read, understand, and implement the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in our lives. During the first session, the speakers highlighted various important aspects of the Seerah and explained that it is the perfect model of life and a fountainhead of guidance for every Muslim.
