The College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences (Bazm Minhaj) organized a grand book fair attended by hundreds of students, teachers, researchers, and lovers of knowledge. Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, congratulated the organizers on the successful event.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the lasting solution to Pakistan’s intellectual, cultural, and social crises lies in reviving the culture of book reading. He remarked that the organization of a book fair is not merely an educational activity but an important step toward intellectual transformation.
“At a time when the younger generation is deeply engrossed in social media entertainment,” he said, “such events are like a breath of fresh air. If such academic fairs continue, the light of knowledge and research will spread across Pakistan, and the youth will break free from intellectual slavery, setting out on the path of awareness and enlightenment.”
The book fair was inaugurated by Ahmed, head of the Blockchain Institute of Pakistan. Among the distinguished guests were Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Brigadier (R) Umar Hayat, Noorullah Siddiqi, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, Nazim-e-Aala of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan Allama Mir Asif Akbar, and Principal Dr. Mumtaz-ul-Hasan Barvi.
A special highlight of the book fair was the display of hundreds of books by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, covering a wide range of topics. These books, available at special discounts, attracted significant attention from students and the general public. In particular, his book “Terrorism and the Fitnah of the Khawarij” received remarkable appreciation.
Participants — including students, teachers, researchers, and intellectuals — remarked that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s writings offer profound insights into the contemporary intellectual, ideological, and spiritual challenges, and play a key role in guiding the youth away from extremism, radicalism, and intellectual confusion.
