
The 8th International Conference on World Religions (ICWR 2025) was successfully organized by Minhaj University Lahore (MUL), bringing together a diverse gathering of global religious leaders, national and international scholars, researchers, and intellectuals.
The conference was graced by the distinguished presence of Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, and Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Minhaj University Lahore and President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Participants across the globe presented scholarly research papers and engaged in panel discussions on key themes including interfaith harmony, global peace, tolerance, and religious diversity.
In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri highlighted that Minhaj University Lahore, under the visionary guidance of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has emerged as a global hub for academic research, interfaith dialogue, and peacebuilding initiatives. He emphasized that mutual respect and dialogue among different faiths are essential for achieving lasting peace.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad remarked that the World Religions Conference serves as an important international platform for intellectual exchange, uniting religious leaders from across the world in meaningful dialogue.
Conference Co-Chair Dr. Herman Roborgh appreciated Minhaj University Lahore’s remarkable efforts in promoting interfaith understanding and peace at the global level.
The event witnessed active participation from the Registrar, faculty members, academic staff, researchers, students, and representatives from various universities.
In the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hussain Qadri presented souvenirs and shields to national and international speakers and scholars, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the advancement of interfaith harmony and scholarly excellence.
