A delegation of scholars from the Central Directorate of Dawah, MQI, led by Naib Nazim-e-Aala Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, met with Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that a preacher must be strong both in character and in knowledge. Modern means of communication should be used for the moral and social reform of society. Teachers, preachers, and callers to Islam are the role models of every community, and rigorous training of a da‘i (Islamic missionary) is indispensable.
He added that the preacher of today must excel not only in knowledge but also in moral character and communication. Without knowledge, preaching loses depth; without character, it loses influence; and without effective communication, the message fails to reach others.
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized that the purpose of dawah (Islamic preaching) is not merely to convey a message, but to soften hearts, eliminate hatred, and infuse society with the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He stated that today’s youth can be influenced through reason, understanding, and good character.
He urged that modern communication tools such as social media, videos, and digital platforms should be utilized positively so that the message of Islam can be spread widely and effectively in a contemporary manner.
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further said that scholars must understand the
intellectual and psychological inclinations of the youth and present religion in
a language they can relate to.
He added that Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran is a movement representing a beautiful synthesis
of knowledge and character, aiming to promote intellectual awakening, purification
of thought, and practical transformation in society.
He instructed the scholars of the Directorate of Dawah to highlight the moral and spiritual dimensions of Islam in their lectures, sermons, and writings so that the younger generation can connect with the true spirit of the faith.
