Deputy Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Allama Rana Muhammad Idris, delivered a sermon at the Friday congregation at Jamia Sheikh-ul-Islam in Model Town, Lahore. In his address, he stated that death is not an end, but a transition from one phase to another. The Quran says, "We have decreed death among you." For the believers, death is not a source of fear, but a gateway to meeting the Beloved. Life in this world should be lived as preparation for the Hereafter because death is not the end but the beginning of a new phase.
He further explained that those who live their lives in goodness, kindness, and faith in this world, death for them is a herald of peace and comfort. On the other hand, for the heedless person, death is a stage of awakening. Therefore, a believer should strive to align every moment of their life according to the purpose of their creation.
Allama Rana Muhammad Idris Qadri emphasized that a person must always remember that this world is a temporary abode. The joys and sorrows of this life are transient, while real life is the life of the Hereafter. Hence, we must focus on improving our actions, doing good to others, and living in accordance with Allah’s pleasure. He stated that when a person aligns their life according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, death becomes a moment of peace and success rather than fear.
He added that every human born in this world will one day leave it and stand before their Lord, so instead of fearing death, we must prepare for it. Death, for the believer, is the gateway to meeting Allah, where eternal comfort and true life begin.
Allama Rana Muhammad Idris concluded by stating that if we adopt patience, gratitude, worship, and service to humanity as our principles in daily life, we will find peace in this world and success in the Hereafter.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Minhaj-ul-Quran International’s Supreme Council, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, and the President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri, also performed Friday prayers at Jamia Sheikh-ul-Islam. After the prayers, they met with various delegations, the occupants of the Gosha-e-Durood (spiritual retreat), and the congregational worshippers.
