President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, participated in a special training session held for the graduates of the 2003 session, organized by the Minhajians Forum. The session took place at the Tasawwuf Center, Minhaj University Lahore. Upon his arrival, he was received by President of the Minhajians Forum, Muhammad Shahid Latif, and the 2003 session coordinator, Dr. Zaheer Ahmad al-Asnadi.
The purpose of this gathering was to further activate the intellectual, training-based, and leadership roles of the Minhajians and to develop a strong and cohesive network for the mission in the years ahead.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that it is a great blessing of Allah that we have been granted the company of a leader and benefactor like Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that affiliation with Minhaj-ul-Quran is not merely an institutional association; rather, it is an intellectual, moral, and spiritual legacy. He added that a person is not recognized by their degree or designation, but by their character, morals, spirit of public service, and consistency.
Addressing the Minhajian graduates, he said: “You are among those associates of Minhaj-ul-Quran who received formal training; therefore, wherever you go, your manner of speaking, your conduct, and your professional responsibilities should reflect this academic and spiritual affiliation.”
He further said that it is encouraging to see you all gathering once again, and this tradition should not end—rather, it should be continued as an annual activity. He noted that major universities and intellectual movements across the world grew stronger when their alumni stayed connected to the intellectual and ideological vision of their institutions and carried that vision forward in their professional lives.
On this occasion, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri also highlighted the recent progress of Minhaj University Lahore, its international recognition, and its academic initiatives. He shared that today, Minhaj University is recognized nationally and globally as a reputable academic institution, equipped with advanced research centers, world-class faculties, and a modern educational environment. He said that alongside Islamic studies, research is also being promoted in fields such as contemporary sciences, policy studies, peace and dialogue, governance, and social reforms.
Continuing his address, he briefed the audience on ongoing projects including Islamic microfinance, halal certification, research publications, and collaborations with international educational institutions. He said that in the near future, Minhaj-ul-Quran will play an even more prominent role in the fields of preaching and knowledge. He added that Pakistani society needs educated, balanced, and composed individuals who not only work with sincerity but are also capable of providing moral and intellectual leadership in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
A question-and-answer session was held at the end, after which Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said: “I am pleased to hear your thoughts and sentiments, and to see that you take pride in the development of this institution. But the real credit belongs not only to the administration—rather, it belongs to you as well, because you are the first fruits of this institution. You are part of its journey, and you honored its foundation.”
He prayed that such meetings should no longer take place after long gaps, but should continue annually.
Concluding his address, he prayed: “May Allah Almighty, through Minhaj-ul-Quran and this blessed association, open the doors of goodness, reformation, and peace across the world.”
