On 24 November 2025, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri founded the House of Wisdom (HOW) in the heart of Westminster, London. HOW is a new professional networking forum for leading British Muslims. A visionary platform striving to build purpose, inspire excellence and create lasting networks.
The launch drew prominent figures from public life, including Rt Hon Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Naz Shah MP (UK Trade Envoy for Indonesia and the ASEAN region), and H.E. Dr Desra Percaya (Indonesian Ambassador to the UK), each offering strong support for the initiative.
An audience of senior partners, financiers, lawyers, policymakers, journalists, academics, entrepreneurs, technologists, medics and creatives filled the room; many of whom have broken glass ceilings in education and professional life.
Shaykh Hammad delivered the keynote and launched his latest book, “Past and Present:
How Muslims Enrich Our Society”, tracing contributions from the Islamic Golden Age
to contemporary achievements, from Nobel Peace Laureates to global health and AI
innovators. The message underscored the enduring influence of Muslim excellence
across centuries.
Shaykh Hammad concluded by outlining eight strategic priorities to help Muslim professionals
reach the highest levels of their fields in the decades ahead. A new research publication
by Shaykh Hammad was also shared with attendees.
A panel discussion followed, featuring Shaykh Hammad and Baroness Warsi, hosted by Muhbeen Hussain MBE, on “Where Muslims Stand Today”.
The event was organised by the HOW executive team: Muhbeen Hussain MBE, Barrister Vakas Hussain, Aadil Khan, Haroon Khan and Hassan Qadri, alongside Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari, Dr Zahid Iqbal, Moazzam Raza, Adnan Sohail and other partners.
HOW now aims to build on this momentum: convening professionals across sectors and strengthening meaningful contribution to society.
