Convocation Ceremony Held at MUL for Graduates of Various Academic Departments

At the Minhaj University Lahore Convocation 2025, degrees were conferred upon 1,562 male and female graduates. The chief guest of the ceremony was Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider. Chairman Board of Governors Minhaj University Lahore, founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri; Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri; Chairman Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri; Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad; and Registrar Dr. Khurram Shehzad attended and addressed the ceremony. They congratulated all graduating students on completing their degree programs.

Addressing the students via video link, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that an academic degree is merely an entry point into practical life—the real purpose, he said, is the refinement of one’s personality, morals, and character. He emphasized that it is now the responsibility of the graduates to create ease for others through their high moral conduct, enlightened disposition, and strong character, and to bring about positive change in society. He urged the youth to engage in self-reflection, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and understand that the foundation of every success lies in self-awareness, continuous learning, and a passion for serving humanity.

Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, in his address, said that Minhaj University is an excellent addition to the private education sector due to its provision of quality education and training. He praised the contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for promoting modern education, interfaith harmony, and peace. He added that establishing a remarkable institution like Minhaj University is indeed a significant achievement. Addressing the students, he stated that the Holy Qur’an is the ultimate source of guidance and urged them to adopt the blessed character of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) as their role model.

Deputy Chairman Board of Governors Minhaj University Lahore, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, said in his speech that Minhaj University is committed not only to providing quality education but also to nurturing students’ character, moral values, and intellectual strength. He congratulated the award holders and gold medalists for their outstanding academic achievements.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, in his welcome address, said that Minhaj University equips students not only with academic excellence but also with moral training and a strong sense of social responsibility.
