Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Central Punjab President Advocate Asif Salahria has strongly condemned the tragic explosion at a chemical factory in the Malikpur area of Faisalabad, stating that the loss of 15 precious lives is a cause of profound grief for the entire nation. The martyrdom of six innocent children, two women, and elderly citizens has particularly left every heart shattered. Advocate Asif Salahria prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He said that this incident reflects the grave negligence of the concerned departments and administration. Establishing chemical factories within residential areas and the absence of proper safety measures is blatant criminal negligence. Had the authorities fulfilled their responsibilities, such loss of life could have been prevented.
He demanded an immediate and transparent investigation into the incident, strict legal action against those responsible, and mandatory safety audits, fire systems, and emergency plans in all industrial units. He added that their sympathies are with the affected families, and they share their grief wholeheartedly.
