Minhaj University Lahore Hosts Christmas Celebration 2025 Promoting Interfaith Harmony

Addressing a Christmas celebration organized under the auspices of the School of Religion and Philosophy at Minhaj University Lahore, in collaboration with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Directorate of Interfaith Relations, Minhaj University Lahore, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors, Minhaj University Lahore, Professor Dr. Hussain Muhyiddin Qadri, stated that all religions teach humanity the values of love, patience, peace, and service to mankind. No religion teaches hatred; all messengers of God conveyed the message of peace and monotheism.

He further said that social harmony is only possible when followers of different religions respect one another’s beliefs and sentiments. Prejudice and hatred-based attitudes are major obstacles on the path to peace and development, he said.

The Director of Interfaith Relations, Minhaj-ul-Quran International, welcomed religious leaders of various faiths upon their arrival. The Head of the School of Religion and Philosophy, Professor Dr. Herman Robuch, delivered the welcome address.

The President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Rev. Dr. Guy Singia, and Dr. Lee, who came from South Korea, participated in the ceremony as chief guests. In their addresses, the guests appreciated Minhaj University Lahore’s initiative to organize a Christmas celebration. The guest speakers stated that the Chairman of the University, Professor Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, has always advocated interfaith tolerance.

Religious leaders from different faiths present at the ceremony emphasized the importance of promoting interfaith harmony, unity, and love.

Participants included Rev. Samuel Nazir, Qari Khalid Mahmood, Pastor Aslam Ghori, Mr. Samuel Pyara, Samson Salamat, Nukhaz Khokhar, Pastor Mazhar Bhatti, Rev. Dr. Marqus Fida, Pastor Khurram Shehzad, Pastor Mudassar Siyah, Professor Dr. Stephen, Madam Kulsoom, Professor Nasir Jan, Rev. Robin Qamar, Pastor Amjad Naimat, Ms. Iqra Shehbaz, and many other guests.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a Christmas cake was cut, and Sohail Ahmed Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations, Minhaj-ul-Quran International, delivered the closing remarks and thanked the guests for their participation.
