Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri Expresses Grief over the Passing of Haji Muhammad Rafiq

Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Haji Muhammad Rafiq (late), founder of Fine Steel Industries, a longstanding associate of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, and the father of Asim Rafiq, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Resources and Marketing, Minhaj-ul-Quran International, as well as Muhammad Qasim and Muhammad Qadeer.

In his condolence message, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Haji Muhammad Rafiq spent his entire life in the service of faith, humanity and society, while treating others with kindness and compassion. He said that with his passing, the bereaved family has lost a caring elder, a loving father and a sincere guardian.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed that Allah Almighty grant Haji Muhammad Rafiq complete forgiveness and mercy, elevate his ranks and bless him with a distinguished place in Jannat-ul-Firdaws. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly Asim Rafiq, Muhammad Qasim and Muhammad Qadeer, and prayed that Allah Almighty grant them the strength, patience and steadfastness to bear this profound loss. He also prayed that the late Haji Muhammad Rafiq’s religious, charitable and social services be accepted as Sadaqah Jariyah (an ongoing source of spiritual reward) for him.

Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International; Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International; Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General; Hafiz-ur-Rehman Khan, Director of Resources and Marketing; and other leaders also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Haji Muhammad Rafiq. They prayed for the forgiveness and elevation of the late Haji Muhammad Rafiq and for Sabr-e-Jameel—patience and fortitude—for the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of Haji Muhammad Rafiq was attended by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International; Noorullah Siddiqui, Deputy Secretary General; Hafiz-ur-Rehman Khan, Director of Resources and Marketing; as well as leaders and workers of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, relatives, friends and other notable personalities.

The participants paid tribute to the late Haji Muhammad Rafiq’s religious and charitable services and prayed for his forgiveness and for strength, patience and courage for his bereaved family.
