Speech No: Eq-35
Place: Markazi Secretariat Minhaj-ul-Quran, Lahore,
Description:
In this video, Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri explains the blessed statement of Umm ul Muminin Sayyidah Khadijah tul Kubra (R.A): “Wa tasduqul hadith”. He explains that truthfulness is not merely about speaking the truth with the tongue; rather, it means aligning a person’s outer and inner being heart and mind, thoughts and actions, words and character around a single center of truth. It is further explained that sidq (truthfulness) is not simply a moral virtue, but the very foundation of faith, righteousness, piety (taqwa), sincerity (ikhlas), spirituality, and purity. When a person adopts truthfulness as the guiding principle of life, the inner contradictions within them begin to disappear, dignity emerges in their personality, the conscience becomes purified, and society begins to place trust in them. It is also highlighted that lying becomes a burden on a person’s mind, ego, and inner self, creating anxiety, tension, restlessness, and internal conflict. In contrast, truthfulness brings comfort, peace, confidence, and steadfastness.
