Minhaj Welfare Foundation distributed the food ration among more than 300 deserving families yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Director MWF Syed Amjad Ali Shah said that helping the deserving and needy people is the best of human actions and worship. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri often says that the service of humanity is actually the service of Islam. He said that in line with the vision of its founding-leader, Minhaj Welfare Foundation has been rendering its services not only in Pakistan but also overseas.
MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri suffered a severe heat stroke while he was in Istanbul on his way to Pakistan. He was not well already and following this heat stroke, his health problems have increased. The doctors advised him against any travel plans and asked him to have complete rest. MQI Secretary General further said that now Shaykh-ul-Islam will deliver his keynote speeches to the residents of Itikaf City live from London through a video link.
The arrangements for Itikaf 2019 including decoration and maintenance work at the main Itikaf venue continue with full pace. Three LED screens of huge size are being installed for the live speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The sound system of the best quality is also being placed.
An interfaith Iftar dinner was jointly organised by Youth Development Foundation (YDF), Interactive Resource Centre and Interfaith Relations Minhaj-ul-Quran International in which Christian, Hindu, Sikh and Muslim faith leaders attended the Iftar dinner. MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was a special guest on the occasion.
A three-member delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League called on the Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Dr Farkhanda Manzoor and gifted her 8-volume historic Quranic Encyclopedia for the library of the University. The MWL delegation consisted of Ms. Ayesha Mubashar, General Secretary of MWL Punjab, Zainab Arshad, President of MSM-Sisters, and Javeria Waheed, head of research society students wing. Director Students Affairs LCWU Bushra Nadeem was also present during the meeting.
President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has asked the youth to play their educational, and reformative role for progress, peace and stability of Pakistan. He said that no one can bring down a nation that has skilled, educated and patriotic youth. He said that youth are the pivot of phenomenal progress that Malaysia, Japan, South Korea and China have made in recent decades.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General MQI and the head of the central administrative committee for Itikaf 2019, has said that the arrangements for Itikaf that is all set to begin from the 26th of May onwards, are being made with traditional fervor. He said that thousands of the faithful will attend Itikaf along with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri till the sighting of the Eid moon, stating that it is the largest Itikaf gathering in the world after the one held at Two Holy Mosques.

In his special message on the International Labour Day, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allah Almighty has described the worker as His friend. He said that politics was played in the name of the rights of the labourers in every age but they could not get their due rights. He said that a labourer is a friend of Allah and the prosperity of the country lies in the prosperity of the worker. He said that as a result of skyrocketing inflation and social problems, the difference between the labour and others have been eliminated.

Addressing the senior students of COSIS, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that religious seminaries have an important to play in the provision of education. He said that hundreds of thousands of students are getting education from Madaris, a reality which cannot be denied. He, however, underlined the need of placing them under a proper system so that no one is able to bring a bad name to Islam and Pakistan by exploiting Madaris.
The inaugural ceremony of the Quranic Encyclopedia was held in a local hotel in Islamabad on April 27. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was in attendance to deliver his keynote address. Senior MQI leader Rana Muhammad Idrees was also present on the occasion.
