A prestigious ceremony was held at the central secretariat in honor of the founding members of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
The ceremony was attended by the founding members, early members of Minhaj-ul-Quran, central leaders, organizational officials, and workers from Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Gujrat, Okara, Kasur, Jhang, Faisalabad, and Sheikhupura. The purpose of the ceremony was to pay tribute to the personalities who, under the guidance of Shaykh-ul-Islam Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, laid the foundation of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement and played a key role in strengthening it.
In his address, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized the importance of connecting future generations with this noble mission so that the work of spreading the message of religion continues from generation to generation. He said that the founding members of the movement served with determination and faith in difficult circumstances, and now it is crucial to pass on their experiences and sincerity to the new generation.
Other speakers at the event included Nazim-e-Ala Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, senior leader Haji Muhammad Amin Qadri, Deputy Nazim-e-Ala Allama Rana Muhammad Idris, Secretary Council of Founding and Senior Members Shehzad Rasool Qadri, Allama Ghulam Muzaffar Alvi, and others, who highlighted the contributions of the founding members.
The ceremony was attended by senior leaders such as Raja Zahid Mehmood, Shahid Latif Qadri, Haji Manzoor Hussain, Haji Muhammad Saleem Yousafi, Haji Muhammad Saleem Qadri, Haji Muhammad Ilyas Qadri, Ahmad Nouman Sheikh, Chaudhry Jaleel, Professor Nawaz Zafar, Dr. Shahid Mahmood, Chaudhry Afzal Gujjar, Sheikh Muhammad Farooq, Sardar Fatehullah Khan, Sheikh Muhammad Amir Rafi, Abrar Hanif Mughal, Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Noorullah Siddiqui, Muhammad Jowad Hameed, Rana Muhammad Fayaz, Hafiz Ghulam Fareed, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Professor Zulfiqar Ali, Rana Nafees Hussain, Abid Bashir Qadri, among other senior leaders, who participated in large numbers.
Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, while addressing the gathering of the monthly Majlis Khatm al-Salawat ala al-Nabi ﷺ, stated that the stories of the Prophets mentioned in the Holy Quran and the blessed life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are a source of lessons, guidance, and insight for the believers. He said that through these Quranic narratives, we are reminded that patience, perseverance, sacrifice, and sincerity are essential qualities on the path of the true religion.
He said that the personalities mentioned in the Quran were the spiritual and intellectual foundations of their respective nations, and their stories were narrated through the sacred tongue of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ so that the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ would learn from them and adopt the Mustafa character to find solutions to life’s challenges.
