Nations Progress Through Education: Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Minhaj-ul-Quran Tarnawa Khanpur College Inauguration Ceremony 2025

Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has stated that nations progress through education. Minhaj-ul-Quran, he said, is determined to provide higher education facilities to backward areas across the country. He emphasized that education will lead to national development and help eradicate poverty, ignorance, narrow-mindedness, extremism, and violent behaviors, ultimately transforming the fate of the youth.

Dr. Hassan Qadri mentioned that the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is to combine both ancient and modern knowledge, which will lead to the emergence of scholars like Rumi, Raazi, and Saadi. We must strengthen our connection with the intellectual heritage of our ancestors.

These remarks were made during the inauguration ceremony of the "Minhaj College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences" in Tarnawa, Khanpur. The event was attended by a large number of distinguished personalities, including Nizam-e-Aala of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Khurram Nawaz Gundapur, Director of Projects and Institutions Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Engineer Rafiuddin, educational experts, and prominent figures from various walks of life.

Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further stated that once this educational project is completed, the youth of the area will no longer need to travel to big cities like Lahore and Islamabad for higher education. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he said, considers training as meaningful education, and in all Minhaj-ul-Quran institutions, training is prioritized alongside education. He expressed his commitment to making this institution a center of knowledge, research, and training to foster a strong national character in the new generation.

Director of Projects and Institutions, Syed Amjad Ali Shah, provided a detailed briefing on the project during the ceremony. He shared that the construction of the college will cost 17 crore rupees, and the project will be completed in three years. He also mentioned that the college building will have a modern architectural design, offering courses in both Shariah and Islamic studies as well as contemporary academic subjects.

The event was also attended by Haji Malik Mumtaz Akbar, Haji Ghulam Shabbir, Nisar Suleimani, Javed Hazarvi, Sheikh Farhan Aziz, Dr. Imran Younis, Sardar Javed, Engineer Rafiuddin, Zeeshan Kaleem, Architect Waleed Asif, Ihtisham Haq, members of the executive committee, and officials from Khanpur, Haripur, Abbottabad, and Rawalpindi. The ceremony concluded with a prayer for the country's security and prosperity.
